where do I start, when I entered I was bombarded by one person after the other,1 at a time, not introducing themselves but saying, how can I help u, same lines all 10 of them in the span of my 1st 10 minutes there, what is ur name? meanwhile, not telling me there's, or even welcome. they were extremely robotic, like robots, eyeing out new people. did I feel welcome here, nope. so when I took a pamphlet from a table I asked the older man who is the lead person here and he replied, it's the bald guy and his Wife. oh I said, the bald guy. that's right, really respectful eh, well during the service the bald guys wife humiliated this child in her mic in front of the entire congregation during service, saying, can you stop picking ur nose while I am talking to u for a moment. I thought how rude and omg did she just say that in front of everyone, she did. very controlling indeed, I was disgusted to say the least. is this how we talk to Gods children I thought, her husband, the Captain didn't even blink. maybe it was her kid, who knows. still unacceptable behavior on her part and not funny. then 40 minutes ish of a really older Man reading the adults a children's book, I couldn't believe it. anyway, it was a Mickey mouse club here today. when u approach someone, u say, hello how r u? welcome to our church, my name is so and so, make yourself at home here, we r very glad to have u today, the allow whoever to wander around a bit. that's how normal people greet others, preferably with a genuine smile. I felt repeatedly interogated and forced to reveal my name. it would seem this Captains wife here doesn't know what voluntary means, cause she said in her mic, if u haven't helped with the kettles yet, come see me as if to imply, u will be forced to volunteer, I'm like, what!!! this was my interesting visit today. so I looked at their fine sign up front saying all is welcome, however I do not believe they like to see new guests. the salvation army I know would never act like this. after service, everyone was in their little groups just like high school and the leaders were nowhere to be found, I was completely ignored then. coffee was undrinkable and I left thinking wow, this place was very unfriendly indeed. change is necessary here if u want to have new people, oh and I shouldn't have to reveal my name to come to listen to gospel, right. stick to hello. that would be a good start

Although I haven't experienced this location, I am aware of the Salvation Army's non-inclusion of the LGBTQ community. When seeking help from local shelter systems, particularly those with Salvation Army affiliation, they are not tolerant nor inclusive. As a gender diverse individual I would not visit this location, and am afraid of visiting the area.

Did supervised visits there. They are more intrusive than FACTS. Although they have more to do. They sit less then 5ft from you, record word for word and ripped up letters I wrote my child. Gave me 3 different schedules and blamed me for not showing up. Telling me I had to pay 45$ to see my kid as instructive as they are for 2hrs of a month. I had to walk 45 minutes epileptic in snowstorms as well.Your not allowed to bring your digital cameras to take pictures either. They are not preserving our relationship rather not taking their accountability for mess ups.after walking 45 mins I was 10 mins late they cancel visits even when u wait 15 before and after access visits...so no pics.

I don't support this as salvation army is very biased on who they will help if you need help but they will gladly take your money. As a gay male I find it very sad that such an organization as salvation army won't help anyone if your gay. As for being part of the LGBT have heard stories where anyone from the LGBT needed help but had the door shut on their faces just because of their sexual orientation. Sad very sad especially in this ever so growing population. However the salvation army is a service in which helps some people with anything they need to have basic needs met.
