Went for the Mother's Day Prime Rib buffet and we both left disappointed. The prime rib itself was good, but even the rarest pieces were a little too overcooked for my liking. The quality of the meat itself was excellent. My martini was also excellent.

Everything else, including the service, left a lot to be desired. There were no forks left at the buffet, so my husband had to chase after a staff member and let them know that he needed a fork. He went to sit at our table as he waited for his fork but all they did is refill the buffet, and never brought him one. By the time he did retrieve a fork, all our food, except the fried chicken, was cold.

The fried chicken was cooked beautifully, but was cheapened with a spice that tastes very similar to cheap chinese food (maybe MSG?). This same flavour was also found on the vegetables, where the carrots were still hard. The yorkshire pudding... if you can even call what they served that, were flat and tasted like eggs. They are usually my favourite part of a meal, but I couldn't even eat the two that I took.

Lastly, we booked a 6pm reservation, and were seated at 6:15pm, which does not bother me. What upsets me, was by the time I made it to the dessert table just before 7pm, there was no fruit left. I asked if they would be re-stocking it, to be told that there was no more. The buffet was allegedly open until 9pm, so how was there no fruit left by 7pm...

Overall, I would not visit a Prime Rib Buffet at The Venue again.

We've been meaning to try out The Venue for a little while now and we finally had the opportunity to do so on a date night, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is nice and inviting, the music was set at the perfect volume level, and the staff are friendly and provided us with some great suggestions. We started with the cream of mushroom soup and the Caesar salad which were very tasty. They actually brought us out some complementary mushroom bruschetta prior to our appetizers and it was delicious. Not sure if this is on the menu, but it definitely should be. The pork chop with mushroom gravy was very tasty, as was the shrimp and mashed potatoes that accompanied it. My wife greatly enjoyed her beef bulgogi dish. The baked cheesecake with caramel sauce was the best way to top off an excellent dinner. We'll definitely be returning in the future and have already recommended it to some family members.

For my sisters wedding, they made potatoes and chicken on cream based after she told them she was lactose intolerant.
Secondly they attempted to flash boil perogies, which will not cook raw dough. After the mishap they chose to take no ownership and blamed everyone else including the venue.
Thirdly less people showed up for the wedding and they did not have enough plates and had to use paper plates supplied by someone else.

They also did not have coffee or tea during dessert.
Lack of care and ownership to the mistakes was very disappointing. I would hesitate to use them for a wedding.

Ken's Catering catered my wedding August 2nd (last month) and the food was spectacular; all my guests (young and old) were raving about how good the food was and how beautiful the presentation was. We had ordered a charcuterie tray for 50 and a number of their cold appetizers and everything was wonderful.

First time visiting & it was for a birthday dinner ... we heard the food was amazing and it truly was . Such friendly and welcoming staff !! 10/10 recommended checking it out . The three dishes that are here that were a select few we tried .

I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a great meal and wonderful atmosphere to go here!

Best service and beyond amazing food. The Venue met and exceeded our expectations! We are celebrating our 8 year anniversary and decided to go here, honestly we were blown away just entering the restaurant as it's so beautiful.

For food we ordered the following. Everything was just cooked to perfection. Again, The Venue exceeded my expectations and was a fantastic way to celebrate!
- Osso Buco
- Short Rib
- Calamari
- Bruschetta (Complimentary)

The service was also very memorable! It's crazy how much great service can impact a great meal. I ordered the short rib on our servers reccomendation and I was not disappointed. Our server was very knowledgeable, friendly and upbeat. Really added to the already amazing restaurant vibe.

Would go here again 100%!

Great food for a good price. I’m not a fan of dinner food so i went in for brunch and the buffet was delightful! The waffles were especially fluffy and tasty, with enough holes to go well with the syrup! And the eggs were even better than my nana’s cooking! (which is tough competition). The service was great, the food was great, the price was great, the design of the area was great, and overall it was all great! 5 Stars. This may be the best time i’ve had at a resteraunt in a while

Ken’s Catering catered my August 3rd wedding, and the food was FANTASTIC! I got many many compliments and comments talking about how great the catering was, and they weren’t wrong. The meal was delicious, and everything was done wonderfully. The sandwiches for the late night snack were also great. I would definitely recommend using Ken’s Catering for your events
