Such a great place. Really good food, taste wise and presentation. We had seafood linguini and jambalaya. One of the best pasta I ever tried, delicious seafood and you won't be hungry after that meal, guaranteed. Same for jambalaya, delicious hariza, loaded with seafood dish. Service, careful but not intrusive and fast, I was expecting longer wait, considering complexity of menu and number of customers. You can feel that owner's and stuff really cared about this place. It is in quality and taste of food, very careful and nicely matching decoration, perfect service and quiet pleasant music on background.

One of the best meals I have EVER eaten! When my parents told me that Tilly’s was a must-do while I was home visiting, they were not joking. From the appetizers to the main, the whole experience was top tier. Excellent service, delicious appetizers, and a main that would rival any restaurant from the city that’s double the cost. We had pork dumplings and the squid, from which the sauce was worth drinking to the last drop. The beef tenderloin and prawns with mashed for my main was exquisite. 10/10 would recommend.

We finally made it here for my dads birthday supper. He’s a chef and quite difficult to impress really, I guess we get it from him. But this place did not disappoint.

We arrived to a birthday card on the table signed by all the staff. A taste test of a lovely rose.

A bottle of wine for the table that was perfect.

The appetizers, I’ll be thinking about the grilled calamari until the next time I go. The smokiness and depth to the marinade was incredible.

The mussels were pure perfection, the most delicate and flavourful tomato sauce.

The oysters were great, we like ours with lemon, pepper and tobasco and they accommodated that.

The salmon, perfectly cooked, the risotto was lovely and the salsa added a lovely cool, smoky crunch to the whole dish.

My fathers Alberta beef with homemade demi glacé (which he asked if it was homemade prior to ordering) did not disappoint and the steak melted in your mouth.

The truffles and port with raspberry coulis… was something you wanted to savour and you don’t want it to end.

Absolutely incredible meal around and the service was exceptional. So exciting to see Halifax quality (but even better) in new Glasgow. We shall be back!

We accidentally found this restaurant on our road trip going to Sydney, Nova Scotia and it did not disappoint. We were just looking for a decent restaurant but Tilly's is way charming, exquisite, a gem of an experience.The cozy vibe of the resto and the delightful hospitality from the staff and from the owner herself made the difference. They already made a great impression.

But most importantly, the food. It was amazing and each bite was a delicate balance of flavors. We ordered the fresh oysters, paella, salmon, chorizo pasta and many more. And we enjoyed everything. The food experience was the highlight of our day after a very long drive.

I need to mention that we were the last customers for the night and we needed some assistance in finding RV parks to stay in and all the staff went above and beyond in assisting us. They were unbelievably kind.

If you pass by New Glasgow or Nova Scotia, I hope you find your way to this charming restaurant.

The best restaurant in New Glasgow and Pictou County in a beautiful setting with amazing food and staff we went back for our 20th Anniversary. Wow, what a welcome plus red roses and a beautiful card! And of course, amazing food!

Our family had dinner here on the way to PEI. The marinated grilled squid & mussels were both very flavourful. The seafood linguine was one of the best we had. The servers were very attentive. We had a great meal here!
