I’ve been coming to this place since last year at least once a month with no issues at all. I love the food and the drink it’s usually very welcoming. I come in with my laptop to usually do work, I try to buy food and drink always and try not to stay over 1.5 hours ever as I know cafes need seats for business.

Today I was there from 6:45-7:40 when the owner who I’ve never met before approached me at 7:40pm stating he doesn’t allow people to use their laptops after 6:00pm because they take up all the space. I can understand his point, but I’ve attached pics of how empty this place was. I was sitting at 1 table

I don’t usually post google reviews, but this was very surprising. I just hope the owner can see this to maybe understand that as long as time is minded does it matter if someone uses a laptop?

We knew we were comjng to Edmonton so we hunted online ahead of time for a bingsu place. I was absolutely thrilled with Urban Plant Cafe! We ordered a single brown sugar bingsu to share. It was huge and so pretty. I was afraid that it would be way too sweet for my liking but it was actually perfect. It was amazing. I was shocked when we got to the bottom and my spoon found corn flakes down there! But then I was even more shocked to find them CRUNCHY! They were sitting in the milk down there - what kind of corn flakes can stay crunchy like that? 😂 And amazingly enough, they somehow fit right in to the rest of the flavors happening. It was so delicious! I loved too that the server and the "cook" were speaking Korean to each other. I like authentic experiences and this Korean bingsu from these nice Korean people totally fit that bill.

My friend wanted to try bingsu so we went there for exploring. When we went inside our first thought was that it’s pricey however I insisted on trying it. We tried the strawberry bingsu, they have around 8 different flavours to choose from. The bingsu itself is made of real fruit and the quantity for small can satisfy craving of 2 people at least. The presentation skills are phenomenal. Will come back to try the other food out here. Must visit.

Amazing food and quantity this café is now on Too good to go, and I am amazed at how much delicious food comes in their surprise bags. I will definitely return to order things off their menu thank you.
But recently picked up another one and the sandwiches that were included were so old the bread was stale and hard. The wrap was super soggy. That’s not edible or enjoyable. Changing my review about food I’m sorry that was really disappointing.

Great Korean dessert, love their bingsu. Cozy ambiance with all the plants, it is clean, and they have amazing staff. It just get busy sometimes, you’ll have to wait to get a seat. I would definitely highly recommend this cafe.

One of my favorite places for bingsu for sure! Make sure to get the mango. Taro also satisfying. I have a feeling they are all great though. Love the corn flakes that are at the bottom. Adds great texture and balance to the dessert. Great place for social gathering

Cute environment with plants to give around and also for sale.

The menu was extensive and had so many options, covering pizza, sandwiches, waffles, and bingsu. Even more options for drinks too.

I would recommend the green bingsu with almonds, cookie crunch, and green tea ice cream. A surprising concentrated flavor for the green tea that is usually lighter else where but very much appreciated.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the melona latte - it really does taste like it’s melted melona bars which I cannot complain about ever.

They utilize a pager system that makes it easy to pick up the food when it’s ready. And although the location got busier by mid afternoon, the conversation etc was not loud and overall contributed to a nice atmosphere amongst plants.

If you're craving for some ice cream, I highly suggest that you take a trip down south of Edmonton and have some Korean Shaved Ice Dessert (Bingsu). Urban Plant Cafe has some great options for coffee but their desserts are a must. They're pricey but well worth it and you can share it if you like but once you have a taste of these little heavenly bowls of happiness you won't be able to stop eating them. Taro and Kong Bingsu are my goto, both have an Oreo layer in between and some Cornflakes underneath which you're able to have a little cereal at the end. Not overly sweet.

Also, there's a few more items here to be had such as the Mochi Cheese Pizza and the Macarons, but I mostly go here for this dessert. I live on the Northside of Edmonton and I'm sure there other places that have it but the way they make their bingsu is pretty darn good.

The reason for the 4 stars is because their Uber services have too many complaints and its their drivers trying to cancel orders and get away with it. Management needs to complain that their drivers have to pay or commit to the order or else they are able to run away with your food.

TLDR; This little coffee shop is pricey but they have a great menu for desserts and should be in your goto spots for a late night craving. Uber drivers tend to cancel coming from them and they run away with your order late at night without any repercussions.
