If there exists a better way to spend a Saturday night than sinking into a dimly lit, warmly buzzing dining room with plates of expertly crafted, unapologetically indulgent food in front of you, I have yet to find it.

It's a masterclass in taking familiar comforts and turning them into something extraordinary. Take the Bonn Schnitzel, for example—a 10-ounce behemoth of golden, crisped-to-perfection meat, laced with a cider mustard demi that balances tang with just the right level of richness. Every bite lands like a well-tuned symphony, crunchy yet tender, the mustard sauce cutting through the decadence like a perfectly timed jazz solo.

My date—who, by the way, now thinks I have impeccable taste in restaurants—went for the maple-crusted chicken. This isn’t your usual pedestrian poultry affair; it’s juicy, lightly sweet, and encased in a tarragon mushroom cream sauce so absurdly good it should come with a warning label. Each forkful demanded a moment of silent reverence, and I swear I saw actual joy flicker across her face.

The service? Polished but relaxed, as if they somehow knew you were there for an experience, not just a meal. The atmosphere? A little bit vintage, a little bit moody, and the kind of place where you could hunker down for hours, sipping cocktails and pretending you’re a character in a Tarantino film.

In short: If this place were a person, I’d propose. This place knows exactly what it’s doing, and it does it with style, generosity, and just the right amount of swagger. Five stars, and I’ll be back—probably with an even bigger appetite.

We celebrated our small wedding at the Vault and had a fabulous time. Excellent food and service! I believe Sarah was our main server and she was fantastic. Our group of 32 were all so happy with their meals, they came out quickly and all at the same time. We would definitely go back to the Vault with another large group!

I really enjoyed my sandwich it wasn't ground breaking however it was worth the money. Everyone else I was eating with enjoyed their meals as well, the service was excellent and the facilities were enjoyable. It was a slower night, but I would definitely return.

This restaurant is located at 5764 176 Street in Surrey. The interior of the restaurant is decorated in an antique style and the environment is beautiful and quiet. The food is unique and reasonably priced. The service attitude is also very good. There are not many parking spaces, so you can only park on the roadside.

We have eaten at The Vault many times over the years both for lunch and dinner. Until this most recent dinner the food has always been great with a really great value for portion size, quality and taste. Our latest visit hum, our appetizers were excellent (Fish cakes and Calamari). Our mains were good but not great, we figure they were being held back too long and overcooked (Salmon and Chicken) both dishes dried out and a crust on the top. Probably a challenging night (?), all places have an off night - we will go back cause 99% of the time we have had an A+ experience.
