Ns avons été au bureau touristique et ilyades douches et de l autre côté du chemin de fer il y a des terrains de camping, je crois que c est gratuit. Il y a un good Truck avec gourmet grillcheese...miam miam

🥚✨ Stopped by the Vegreville Pysanka — the world’s largest Ukrainian Easter egg — and it did not disappoint! Such a stunning landmark, full of detail and history. Perfect spot for photos, a picnic, or just to stretch your legs on a road trip. Definitely worth the stop if you’re driving east of Edmonton! 🚗📸

Just an hour east from Edmonton, stand the largest egg in the world.
Ukrainian Pysanka.
Going there on a sunny day would make a great picnic place. There is a small lake that you can rent a boat, kids park with all monkey bars, slides and other fun activities. Or you can simply sit on the grass and enjoy watching Canada Geese.
Gift shop had lots of great stuff to offer.

Visited this charming little gem on Easter Sunday and absolutely loved it! Vegreville’s Elks/Kinsmen Park is the perfect weekend getaway spot—peaceful, scenic, and full of small-town charm.

There’s a cute trail around a small lake, which was great for a relaxing stroll. The park also has a red train caboose on display that adds a unique historic touch—great for photos!

But the highlight for me was definitely the giant Pysanka (Ukrainian Easter egg)—an absolutely stunning piece of art and such a meaningful cultural landmark.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing walk, a place to picnic with family, or just want to see something unique, this park is a must-visit. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re anywhere near Vegreville!

Very nice park with a lot of amenities. Paddle boats in the pond. Nice trails. Washrooms. Concession. There is a CN train you can go I side to look at.

This is an interesting way of celebrating Ukrainian peoples settling in this area and contributing to build it up, farms and towns.
The history behind it was that ukrainians had settled in this area and in 1974, as part of an acknowledgment of the RCMP making the area safe, this interesting Easter egg feature was dedicated.
An interesting feature is that it responds to the wind similar to a weather vane period as the wind blows it actually moves and changes direction.
