Very interesting place about 1914-1920 period of emigrants. In addition, Ukrainians were big population in Canada. A Pisanka monument established in 1975 is amazing as a design, construction and historical. Pisanka is an Easter Egg painted by orthodox population, mostly in Ukraine.
This small park is well organized and maintained. Office provides lot information. We enjoyed our visit, talking to friendly visitors. Great job!

It served a purpose........ But I won't come back and will find other places to camp.
It has a train track running through the middle and it seems it is only used at night. Why must they blow their whistle so many times is asked all night long.
Also if you need the washroom or store and you don't want a hefty fine it's a 100 metre walk to the crossing. Why not put a crossing where everyone crosses is another mystery.

It’s a well maintained area, right next to the central attraction in town, the giant Easter egg. Very nice setting for a small town. A few draw back .. no connection to water or sewer at the sites but access to filling and disposal at the campground. It’s also illegal(subject to $500 fine) to cross the tracks to get to the bathroom or showers, somewhat limiting you to using the outhouse on site or going all that way around to the road/ entrance crossing. Keep in mind the tracks are 10 ft from the site, with 3-5 trains roaring through throughout 24 hours ..

The Pysanka and Elks Park are great! Mini golf, pedal boats, playground, walking and picnic areas, clean showers and bathrooms. People working in the tourist info are awesome - very helpful! The campground has wifi, was clean, BUT, OMG WAS IT NOISY AT NIGHT!! The train running through the middle of the campground only seemed to go through at night and it would honk its horn the entire way through, every time it went through. So frustrating!! If it wasn't for that, I'd go back, but I can't see myself staying overnight at the campground again, unfortunately.

A bit pricey for what you get as they don't seem to put a whole lot of maintainance or care into the campsite itself. The sites are very small and packed in with very little site decor. The trains come through around 6-8am and they come in very loud. It is walking distance to the easter eggs park and an offleash dog park. Walkable to town itself once you figure out the trails.

The south side of the campground could use some maintenance on the road. Fill the potholes at the paved road and in front of the campsites. It's in the same condition that it was four years ago.
We didn't see the washrooms. The train in the middle of the night is definitely annoying but we knew about it.
The site next to us didn't have a picnic table or enough room for another rv but they still put someone in the spot.
Maybe 2 stars is harsh but 3 is over generous.

One night stay to test camper on a short trip, friendly staff and good rates, pump out on site. Non power sites are larger more secluded.
