An absolute hidden gem at Granville Island!

If you’re visiting Granville Island, especially the Kids Market (2nd floor), VR FANTASTIC World is a must-visit! It’s not just for kids — adults will have just as much fun. The games are super exciting, immersive, and perfect for anyone looking for a little thrill or adventure.

Some of my favorites are HELIX, CRAZY PENDULUM, and WATER SPLASH — all guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping. But if you’re someone who loves spooky, daring challenges, you cannot miss RED EYE. It’s scary, spooky, and honestly… an absolute dare! I still get chills thinking about it.

Highly recommend stopping by — fun for the whole family and an experience you won’t forget!

VR Funtastic World is a virtual reality ride experience on the second floor of Granville Island's Kids Market. I was being towed around by an 11-year-old and a 9-year-old and they were excited by the virtual reality opportunities. Riders choose from a large number of experiences. They are fitted with a VR headpiece and climb into pods that add motion and sound effects. The children would have stayed longer and spent more of Grandpa's money if the old man allowed it.

Went here with my sister while visiting Granville Island. I love VR but have never seen a setup with moving chairs. My sister had never tried VR so we did two rides and it was a blast. The great thing about this place is that they have games that were chill enough for my sister who was nervous and I could find some more scary games as well. Good for all age groups and the price is good for what you get! Nice and relaxed environment with friendly staff.

Do your kids and yourself a favor and visit VR Funtastic World!

I have 2 boys and both absolutely love it there (as do I).
The service is great and the gentleman who runs this place is a wonderful kind human being, who cares about his customers > young and old.

They have a great selection of games for every age group and make sure that you pick the right one(s) for your buck.

The seats are clean and the goggles get disinfected after every usage.

You will definitely leave this place with a big smile on your face.

Have come back several times with my kids and will continue to do so.

Some reviews are funny 😂 it is virtual reality and they have to put you a headset and they have to get close to you. The lady working there was helping me and her legs touch me while putting the headset by mistake so what! Anyways great experience especially the scary one (not for kids) also there is a ride like a pendulum but might make you dizzy. We had so much fun. Only thing is that sometimes the headset moves, don’t fit well unless you fix it better to see clear.

I went here summer 2019 and I remember the guy who put on my headset was invading my personal space and his groin was uncomfortably pressed against my knee area. Just thought about this now and realized how weird it was and found the place on Google maps to write this. I was 13 years old, just think about the younger kids who wouldn’t even think anything of it at all.

He took at least 5 minutes y’all and really was pushing it around on my knee, I know how headsets work and it was fine… I saw another comment saying how some comments are “funny”, obviously you haven’t experienced what many girls go through.

My family loves this place. The staff and the owner are the most amazing people. The rides are fun and suitable for all age groups. This is such a fun place to go to especially for those rainy days.
We are repeat clients and highly recommend VR funtastic world.

Both my friends came here to enjoy the vr experience. The person who claimed to be the "Owner of the business" seemed at first to be very enthusiastic for them to try out the sets they had but eventually started going past the point of "enthusiastic" to "creepily interested" in both of them. This includes forgetting boundaries of personal space when providing unnecessary assistance in setting up the headsets and asking about their relationship with one another.

Games were exhilarating though, would come back here for the horror rides!
