You can choose whether or not to be guided as you visit Walker House. I highly recommend the guided experience, as there's no extra fee to get the richness of the oral history. I truly enjoyed my guide's stories. At the end, I lingered to get photos and spend a bit more time with artifacts and history that interested me.

Excellent museum. I had a very interesting personal tour. Lots of local history. A really neat addition was that they had a working gramophone from 1905! Highly recommended.

First time we visited Kincardine and found this free tour at Walker House Museum. Once we walked in, we were greeted by a nice big smile. Nia, (or Nya, sorry for not getting her name correctly), was busy dealing with some paper work but she made us feel so welcomed. She put off what she was doing and walked us through the museum without disturbing another group of tourists. Nia is very knowledgeable about the museum, the antiques inside the house and the history of the surrounding area. Our tour was being later joined by another family. She knows how to get the little girl's attention and Nia took good care of everyone in the group.

I'd highly recommend you to join the tour guided by Nia in the museum if you are visiting Kincardine 🙂

A very expensive but tasty drink! Unfortunately the sun was down before they had figured out lighting so was a dark experience. The waiter/ barista was very prompt to serve and take check us out. I hope they will be able to do what is needed to maintain an outdoor patio experience at this historical spot! It also would be nice to have a few choices of simple appetizers to accompany their delicious cocktails!

Fascinating museum and wonderful place to learn about the history of Kincardine and Bruce County. And, it is a great place to have a drink, too, with a myriad choice of house made cocktails. If you are looking for a softer option, the tea service is wonderful, using antique tea sets reflective of the museum experience.

Impeccable pairings, wonderful seasonings and the quality of products top to bottom frankly unmatched.
Almost to beautiful to eat.

This is a Bar and Museum. Large selection of mixed drinks, wine and beer. Light snacks are also available. Great atmosphere and friendly staff
