It’d be nice if they turned on the AC in the lakeview room. +27 in there, thinking they don’t wanna get cold at the front counter or something (always like this when certain individuals are working won’t mention names) in the middle of summer. If you go in the evening it’s typically on in the lake view room. AC is down most of the time too since the town will cheap out on proper maintenance/technician. If the ac is on it’s set to the bare minimum at 21.5 celsius to save money. It’s like this every year. Shouldn’t be charged $70/Month for conditions that pose serious risk especially for people in bad health. Posting anonymously because people feel the same and nobody is speaking up, also don’t want to be blacklisted since this is my only gym. I’m not one to complain, stating what many people want to say! For $70 a month change rooms should be upgraded along with machines. Zero ventilation in men’s change room with a sauna in there. Perfect for mold growth and bacteria. My guess is somebody is lining their pockets with the money we spend here!

Fantastic experience using the fitness center on July 8th, the unique layout was perfect for avoiding too many people crowding one area of the gym which I always love as an avid lifter. Was in town to wrestle for CWE that evening and this gym was conveniently located right next to the venue! Fantastic experience, the staff were so friendly and helpful, I look forward to going back!

Very small pool with only 2 lanes but for the few days that I was in town, it worked! The pool water is excellent.I am a lap pool swimmer but I hate it when pool establishments assume lap pool swimmers want to swim in ice cold water! This water was approx 29 degrees Celsius and was superbe. There is a giant hot tub and a sauna in the change rooms. Love it. There is only one shower but the water is piping hot which is unusual for me. Most public lap pools have cold shower water. Staff is SUPER FRIENDLY and they speak French too which is a bonus for me as a Francophone. The entrance fee is very cheap. The pool is located on the Waterfront which is such a beautiful scenic area. Love this place. Great job Waterfront Pool !

We were in town for a work trip. We used both the fitness centre and the pool. My husband and son swam while I went to the fitness centre. For a reasonable fee we were able to use both. The staff was friendly. The pool was clean and having a hot tub was great! The fitness centre was good enough for me. Some equipment was older but it worked. There were 3 rooms, I didn’t realize there was a 3rd room downstairs until I was finished. So, plenty of space! We would definitely go back if we are ever in town again.

$65/month for a gym with 3 treadmills That's insane. The only people who would disagree have clearly never left New Liskeard. Yes, it is the only gym available, which is why they are way overcharging just because they can. In the city $50/month is an expensive gym membership, and would include at least a dozen treadmills, much more equipment that is newer and actually functioning properly, and group classes, which are literally not even available here. And no, the layout does not make any sense. The view is great, but mirrors are more important than windows. There should be a whole section for mats, not have them hidden in a corner. And there is a lot of equipment that just isn't available. The town is expanding, people are moving here, its time for the amenities to expand. Especially for the amount being charged. Literally the worst fitness centre I've ever seen. Way overpriced. There's 3 treadmills and 1 elliptical, there's maybe a 25% chance you'll get to use the equipment you want, equipment is randomly scattered all over the place in no logical manner, some is hidden in random closets. Not worth the money at all

Yes it's expensive, But it's the only gym in new Liskeard. I haven't had an issue with over crowding. You don't need more then three treadmills in a gym, just walk outside. The lay out isn't random like she says. The machine room facing the lake is arms and shoulders with some legs. The Machine room to the left of that is legs, back, and cardio. Downstairs is powerlifting, Bench, deadlifts, etc. The layout makes sense if you familiarize yourself with the gym.

One fellah left a 1 star because he hadn't paid to use the bikes and was told to get off them

I love almost every worker here, especially the pool staff. I think front reception should be much more attentive to facility access (i.e. not locking swimmers in the change room whilst soaking wet), with more authoritative decision making capabilities.

For a small community this facility was great!
Easy to find and lots of parking. Once inside the front staff got us quickly in to the pool area.
Changing rooms could be bigger but we were not there for the changing rooms. The pool is huge. A huge area designed for the younger kids. The staff were very nice and energetic. Hot tub was very large. The deep end of the pool allowed for the older kids to play in there own area. Definitely will be returning.
