Wendel’s is one of my favourite places in Fort Langley. The bookstore is small but has an interesting selection of books. The cafe is small and can get crowded inside but there are tables outside too. I love the chicken chili yam bowl. It has just the right amount of spice and a bit of chili heat and is a good size for lunch. It’s my go-to meal at their cafe !

Wendel’s Books is more than just books—it’s a great spot to eat with plenty of options. Not only is the food good, but the atmosphere really fits the charm of Fort Langley’s small, historic buildings (not sure what you’d call them, but they set the vibe perfectly). It’s always nice to support local spots like this that carry history with them. Our favorite was the beef brisket pasta—absolutely delicious! The BLT and some of the other dishes we tried were average, but there’s still so much more to explore on the menu. Five stars for the vibe, and the food is solid, especially for the quality and price!

What a great little coffee shop in the heart of Fort Langley. We were surprised upon entering at the food options as we initially thought it was just a coffee shop. We tried the brownie which was quite dry (may have been a day old) however the vegan carrot cake was delicious and moist. Will definitely be back for lunch!

Cute litte café! Great food. Baked goods amazing. We had breakfast st 8 am, sun shining through the trees, awesome good morning. Highly recommend!

Tried this little cafe in Fort Langley and was not disappointed. I had the Goat cheese and mushroom omelette with sourdough toast. My wife had Honey ham and Brie Benny (special). Both were very good. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The omelette was a great blend of flavour. The arugula on the Bennys was a nice touch.

Only reason I didn’t give a perfect score was the toast was undercooked and soft. The jam packets from Kraft are also very thin and each packet is about 75 percent of the jam you would need for one piece of toast.

Seating is limited inside, but an excellent atmosphere with a small bookstore included. Biggest table I saw would seat four but if it wasn’t busy you could put a few together if you needed more seating. That being said this is a popular spot and Iit was very steady business wise.

Mostly street parking with a small lot behind, as such, parking can be challenging on weekends and evenings as the Fort is trendy and can be very busy.

A quaint little bookstore with a joining restaurant. Service excellent, view fantastic, Buttered chicken, BLT with salad or South Western omelette before 11am.
