The bed we had was very comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The furniture was in good condition and not yet worn out like some hotel room furniture. The staff were very nice and accommodating. This is a nice place to stay for one or for multiple nights. Located just outside the busier parts of the city and still near anything that you might need.

My only real complaint is with the heat/ac unit. It wouldn't go past 19 degrees Celsius. And when we got into the room it was like an icebox. Room was clean and the hotel has nice amenities.And is close to lots of stores.

I don’t like to stay away from home, I’m usually overwhelmed by the filth and degradation of the hotels condition, but I am so impressed with this place. Such great service at check in, room was super clean, not a spec of dirt , no mildew or Mold, pool was clean and well maintained, hot tub as well. Well done staff, maintenance is impressive and service is top notch!

This is a great hotel for family and for business. We stayed in room 311 for a pre-Christmas with the grandkids. The room was large with a large sized kitchen table, fully equipped kitchen (stove no oven), full fridge, microwave, sink, dishes pots and pans, coffee machine. It had a separate living room with a pullout couch and office desk area. Off to the right behind double doors was a room of similar length and depth with two king sized beds, lots of space for clothes and a bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Dove brand soaps and shampoos. Lots of towels, soft pillows and bedding. Because it is a corner suite, there were 3 large windows and an entrance hall. The only complaints were the icy condition of the parking lot and noise levels at times in the halls and from the suite above. Suggest requesting 411 to avoid that, but any amount of jumping, running or walking heavy footed will resonate below. The only additional suggestions are more coffee packs and a closet to hang your clothes in the bedroom since the only hanging closet was in the front hallway which was where we put our coats and clothes.

My family stayed at the Wingate just shy of 3 weeks. The hotel was always clean and tidy from the pool to the gym to the common area's, elevators, and hallways; even the breakfast area was consistently tidied throughout the morning (it was also always fresh and delicious; my kiddos miss that the most). Everyone from the housekeeping staff, those who do maintenance, to all the front desk staffers, and even the nice gent who runs the Avis company were all absolutely lovely.

We were sad to leave the hotel and very much look forward to our next stay.

Thanks Wingate for a wonderful time and for making us feel like home while we were away from ours.

Had an awful experience here a few weeks ago.

Staff did not clear the ice outside the doors and my mother slipped and fell and broke her glasses. She is also disabled and this could have been a serious emergency. My cousin asked the front desk to call an ambulance because my mother is a vulnerable person and was not moving after slipping on the ice. The front desk did not call the ambulance and just stood there doing absolutely nothing, and did not tell my cousin they didnt call the ambulance until 10 mins after she asked.

Eventually, after about 10 minutes my mother got up and was okay, but was severely bruised up all over her body, especially her face and hands. She also had cuts on her hands and the front desk barely gave her any band aids or anything to help. They were pretty much useless in this situation and need better training.

My cousin went outside to try and find her glasses and a staff member was sweeping them up with the snow, didn’t even consider asking if she would want them back or consider it wasn’t his property.

Not taking care of the ice in the middle of winter and having your customers (disabled ones as well!!!) slipping and then barely doing anything to address the accident is extremely unacceptable. I will never be using this hotel again in the future and I will be warning others about the unprofessionalism we encountered here.

Please do better for your customers and make it a safe place to stay for everyone.

We have stayed here a few time, book by phone, always accommodating and pleasant. Always feels comfortable when we arrive and have a great sleep to boot. Breakfast is a bonus and enough variety for seniors.
