This was our first visit to Newfoundland, and stayed at other B& B’s . But our stay here was amazing, Lesa and Gery were great hosts, rooms were comfortable and clean. The common area made you feel welcome! And the Breakfasts were outstanding. And you must try the Lobster Boil for dinner. Great location to many things as well. All in all a fabulous way to end our trip, when we visit Newfoundland again we definitely will stay here. A definite 10/10

My daughter and I stayed for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are not large but had very comfortable beds and had everything needed.||Gery and Lesa were the best hosts. We loved the breakfasts and the company. They were helpful with directions and pointing us to places to visit around the area. Quigley, the dog, was an added bonus for my daughter. Would highly recommend this place to stay in St. John’s.

Absolutely loved our stay at Winsor House Bed & Breakfast in St. John’s, Newfoundland!

Jerry and Lisa are incredibly hospitable — warm, welcoming, and genuinely fun to talk to. They make you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. And the breakfasts? Just great great great! So much variety, always fresh, and seriously delicious. They even bake homemade cookies in their spare time — a sweet little bonus you’ll definitely appreciate.

The rooms are cozy and spotless, with king-size beds that are super comfortable. You’ll always have fresh towels, and the whole place is well taken care of. There’s also lots of parking, which is super convenient.

What really makes Winsor House stand out is its historic charm. The house dates back to the early 1900s and is full of neat original features — from hardwood floors and solid wood doors to coal chute access on the outside. Everywhere you look, there’s something unique that reflects the heritage of St. John’s. Plus, right next door is the William Thomas House, another beautiful piece of local history.

The location couldn’t be better — close to lovely parks, the Terry Fox Mile 0 memorial, The Rooms, and all the best of downtown St. John’s. Everything is within easy reach, and Jerry and Lisa give awesome recommendations for local eats and hidden gems.

If you want comfort, character, and true Newfoundland hospitality, Winsor House is the place to stay.

This was our second time staying at the Winsor house. The B&B is spacious with comfortable rooms. The hosts are lovely and helpful. The food is great. Very close to shops and restaurants. We would definitely return. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Lesa and Gery are so accommodating and helpful. They even made me a yogurt to go for our early morning flight! Thanks for making our time in St Johns comfortable and for giving us advice on where to go and what to see. Also - amazing cooks!!!

Very quaint and lovely decorated. They are lovely people. We had to leave because they have a cat. My husband is highly allergic. I highly recommend it though.

We had a delightful stay - clean and comfortable room, great location, amazing breakfasts, and friendly hosts. Would’ve stayed longer if I could. Easy walking distance to various attractions and great restaurants bc Definitely recommend.
