Yoshi is now Nishiki and has moved into the old Fuji location.
I avoid the Fuji location as it was not well kept and parking is not that good.
We know the family who owns and runs the restaurant and will continue to support them and their restaurant.
The food is always fresh and amazing.

This is my second time coming here and one year later after the last time. I’m not sure if they changed owners or if I got a different chef. The food looked exactly the same but the quality was totally different.

I ordered almost exactly the same thing but the tempura was nice and crispy.

Also the Agedashi tofu was super delicious, same as before. Therefore, I will upgrade my rating to 5 stars for Fort McMurray sushi.

On my recent trip to Fort McMurray, I was craving sushi so I stopped by for some dinner upon arriving.

I order three dishes. Agedashi Tofu, assorted Tempura, and assorted sashimi.

The tempura batter was a little thick for me. The sashimi was okay, not the best or worst I’ve had, however, the agedashi tofu was amongst some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Crispy and light on the outside and super soft on the inside. I could have eaten another batch. Strictly amazing.

Well worth the visit. I’d recommend going there to try it out.

Had the pleasure of trying out Yoshi Japanese in Fort McMurray. Place is small and cozy, I found it to be very clean and the waitress was very courteous.

The food was really good and was cooked fresh. I definitely will come back to try some more of their menu.

One of the best restaurants in town! If you like sushi, this Japanese couple (? I could be wrong) make great sushi for you. If really want me to say something for improvement: might decrease salt a little bit 😊

I’ve recently become a regular here since the Japanese food is soo good, I’d even say it’s the best in the city! Prices are very good and the portions are generous and the sushi quality is top notch! I will continue coming back here for all my Japanese food cravings!

Nice family run restaurant and it's very clean inside. I ordered their teriyaki beef and chicken hot plate meal and the portion is quite generous almost couldn't finish it!

Also had the Agedashi Tofu and Grilled Mackerel.

House salad dressing is tasty and different from other places ive dined at before.

Only thing I found was the Miso soup was a bit salty but it can always vary depending on how much miso is used.

Overall I enjoyed my meal and I feel that it's good value for your money.

Had Deluxe Bento and Vegetarian Set (both from the lunch special), as well as Kimbap and Snowy Mountain sushi (not shown in picture). Pretty good, would visit again. Would recommend to try the Snowy Mountain!
